Wow! Very surprised to find this gem! Some of, if not, the best Mexican food I've ever had! Strawberry margs WERE the best I've ever had. Chips and salsa l, top notch. I got the combination plate and Val got the steak fajitas. Both were EXCELLENT! Will be making trips back to Tucumcari just to eat here.

I’ve eaten at well over 100 Mexican places and this was one of the very best. The menu features all the usuals, but done *superbly*. Everything is fresh and feels homemade. In particular, in an era when many Mexican places don’t even have tamales on the menu, La Cita makes their own and they’re great! Possibly the best food in Tucumcari.

Cute place to eat. Looked like it is very popular with locals. We had cheese enchiladas and shrimp Diablo. Both were very good. Sopapillas for desert are a must. Will try other menu items the next time we are visiting the town.

Small city with limited choices of restaurants. Many are closed on Mondays. Stopped here and was not disappointed. Salsa had a little kick to it, food was decent and our server was Terrific ! Not all the servers were in a good mood. When we left, it was getting busy and they did not have a lot of staff. Chile Relleno was different, but good (menu states how it is made). Would go back.
